As some of you may be aware, a small number of Runners have been affected by an issue where the switches constantly actuate. As more and more Runners get into the hands of end users we are receiving more reports of this issue and are looking for a fix for future runs as of writing this message.
Please note: this does not affect ALL Runners and we are trying to identify the bad mold or process which affected the small number of units.
However, due to this issue and its potential to make a PCB appear as non-functional if a chattering/misfiring switch is placed into a socket which would activate bootloader mode on the PCB, I have decided to postpone any future restocks of Runners made by Aflion until a fix is found. If Aflion can identify the cause and demonstrate a fix for the issue via product samples I will continue to work with them. However, if this is not rectified in a reasonable timeframe I will be forced to move Runners to another manufacturer.
To help identify the issue, if you have any Runners which are chattering or firing without being pressed, please check the leg of the leaf closest to the outside of the switch to see if it moves freely. If so, please send a couple quality photos and video of the bottom housings so that we can continue to investigate and narrow down the culprit.
Thank you everyone for your patience and understanding with this as we work with this newer manufacturer to continue producing banger switches as they grow and iron out their processes
